      ATTENTION Forum Database Breach   03/04/2019

      There has been a breach of our database. Please make sure you change your password (use a password manager, like Lastpass).
      If you used this password anywhere else, change that too! The passwords themselves are stored hashed, but may old accounts still had old, insecure (by today's standards) hashes from back when they where created. This means they can be "cracked" more easily. Other leaked information includes: email, IP, account name.
      I'm trying my best to find out more and keep everyone up to date. Discord (http://invite.gg/TerraFirmaCraft) is the best option for up to date news and questions. I'm sorry for this, but the damage has been done. All I can do is try to make sure it doesn't happen again.

[B69] Blinking firepit cause lag and crashes.

I've installed the built 69, and i'm experiencing a very annoying bug.

When the firepit run out of wood, it start blinking and the light update cause a intense lag, and i think this is the cause of some crashes i've experienced.

I have to destroy every firepit after use...

I thought I was tripping out when this happened.

That said I experienced no lag from it.

The lag depend on the configuration, But in a general way, light update always cause lag. Maybe the blinking firepit is a laggy feature and not a bug,

I get slight lag from this on a fairly medium-powered computer.

My bigger issue is that the effect is unsettling and jarring. My suggestion for this effect is to just lower the light level output of the campfire instead of heaving it blink, or make it blink at a slightly slower rate and instead of turning completely off for its blink, it lowers its light level. That will look a lot more natural than the current setting.

I'm having this bug everytime now. I think this is a real bug, like a sort of endless loop in the code. hopefully, i'm not epileptic yet.

I am seeing this too on multiplayer servers. In previous builds, the fire would stay lit forever, until I opened the gui, then it would go out. Now it does this instead until I break it. Kills my framerate down to like 5 fps.

this is an issue that will be fixed in build 73, it is causing lighting update lag but the lag is less noticeable with smooth lighting on off,
