      ATTENTION Forum Database Breach   03/04/2019

There has been a breach of our database. Please make sure you change your password (use a password manager, like Lastpass).
If you used this password anywhere else, change that too! The passwords themselves are stored hashed, but may old accounts still had old, insecure (by today's standards) hashes from back when they where created. This means they can be "cracked" more easily. Other leaked information includes: email, IP, account name.
I'm trying my best to find out more and keep everyone up to date. Discord (http://invite.gg/TerraFirmaCraft) is the best option for up to date news and questions. I'm sorry for this, but the damage has been done. All I can do is try to make sure it doesn't happen again.

Logic way to make sticks

6 posts in this topic

Hey guys,

The idea came in very quick when i started playing minecraft with tfc. My idea is to make a new recipe that is crafted with 3 saplings on top of eachother to form 4 sticks (the value doesn't really matter for the idea, this can be changed ;D) i came on this idea when i was breaking leafes, i wanted to plant a minimum of 1 sapling/tree but at the end i had like 15 saplings and 1 place for a tree so i had 14 saplings left. And i had a lack of sticks so yeah. That's my idea.

Please say what you think of it, anything is welcome, negative of positive!

I think I'd rather the addition of rarer tree-specific branch drops as suggested...somewhere in here. We need a thread directory. :U

Benefits include:

  • Directly craftable into the generic sticks for pre-scythe wielding primitives...
  • Different variations based on tree type -> Enables different kinds of bows and other craftings...
  • Being both rarer than, and craftable into generic sticks, avoids the inventory clutter issue...

The idea is cool,

but it isn't realistic.

Saplings are too weak to be made into sticks.

But if they put it into the game. so one should not spend more than a sapling, to make a stick.

Since you can not bind 2 branches together to make a stronger one.

(once again they are too weak)

But it's a good way to get sticks! ;)

Thanks for your fast reactions! And now i look to this idea again i think i would agree with you all. It is maybe too easy then to get it. And that isn't what tfc wants minecraft to be.

Yeah Bioxx doesn't like equal exchange.. But I understand,

I hate throwing away stuff so I end up having lots n lots of chests full of useless stuff :).

i dont know why you would want to waste your saplings on making sticks. maybe its just me but i tend to have the exact opposite problem with my trees, i always get tons of sticks and maybe one or if i'm lucky two saplings per tree so i would want to keep all the saplings i can get my hands on

but maybe insted of saplings to make sticks use a saw on some planks?
