      ATTENTION Forum Database Breach   03/04/2019

      There has been a breach of our database. Please make sure you change your password (use a password manager, like Lastpass).
      If you used this password anywhere else, change that too! The passwords themselves are stored hashed, but may old accounts still had old, insecure (by today's standards) hashes from back when they where created. This means they can be "cracked" more easily. Other leaked information includes: email, IP, account name.
      I'm trying my best to find out more and keep everyone up to date. Discord (http://invite.gg/TerraFirmaCraft) is the best option for up to date news and questions. I'm sorry for this, but the damage has been done. All I can do is try to make sure it doesn't happen again.

  1. Yes the healing potion is craftable, but finding melon slices could be difficult to find. For some of the other potions try farming Witches or even Wither Witches I think I should add a way to make vanilla sugar tho...
  2. I have tried to change the quest to use Fuzzy Detection, but it is too unspecific and makes it work with baked or unbaked versions. I would prefer not to go that route.
  3. Cooking with TFC (WIP)

    Is it possible to add a block called a Stone Oven that could replace the Vanilla Furnace but would work like the campfire or forge for heating and cooking food, specifically the baking of bread?

  5. There have been alot of exciting new changes happening to this pack over the last few months! Some of the cool new features include localized mob spawning that is very dependent on Biome, Depth, Season, Time of Day and even the Phases of the Moon. There are now also interdependent tech recipes, so each mod will require parts from the other mods and mobs, giving the pack more of a connected feel to the tech progression. A large number of new mobs have been added from Lycanites and EnderZoo so there is alot more to hunt and will be hunting you. Trees and Bees from the Forestry mod can now be breed along with Waterwheels and Windmills from Immersive Engineering and huge multiblock steam generators from Magneticraft!

    I was actually using Mob Properties before JAS. That is how I am able to spawn all of the different Zombies. It really is a great tool

    I my mod pack I have added Lycanite's Mobs to bring outa really scary challenge to the game. But like PNDC I wanted them to only spawn deep in the caves. My previous means of controlling the extra mobs was pretty cumbersome and certainly would not allow for any amount of control. But a friend pointed me to a very cool mod called Just Another Spawner. It allows for a massive amount of options to control when how and where mobs will spawn. Now I can make it so that the deeper down into the caves the players decend they will find increasingly more dangerous mobs. While on the surface, certain biomes are much more dangerous than other. For example the Swamps spawn Wither Witches from EnderZoo and the Mountains spawn Trolls and the beaches spawn hostile Crabs. JAS also lets you control the time of day or even the Moon Phase that mobs can spawn in, so I have the Crabs only spawning in the early morning hours and huge Giant Zombies spawning in the Swamps only on Full Moons. It takes a lot of work to set up all the configs for every mob but once its done you can create some very unique and interesting caving adventures

  11. I have never had troubles getting the water wheel to work, but then I never actually place them into the river but create a side channel like you would for the Sluice and then place the wheels into the new flowing water.

    I was just looking over your list of planned items again and I was really impressed to find a steel bucket for BC oil. Right now, in my mod pack, the Wooden Bucket is turning into a vanilla iron bucket when ever a player tries to pick up any liquid it dosnt recognize. I am hoping that the BC integration in your mod might be able to account for this bug? And I was also wondering if you would be able to add the metal Tungsten to the list? It is also commonly called Wolfram and found in ore deposits of Wolframite and Sheelite. Its commonly used as alloys for making steel and glass stronger, so it may have some uses here with some interesting applications. I primarily want to use it for Magneticraft which uses Tungsten heavily as Tungsten Carbide in all of it machines.

    Thought I would stop by today and see how things are progressing. I am very interested in using this mod in my pack since it offers integration with several of the tech mods I have included, but am still waiting for certain features to be ready and for my own pack to be a lot more stable before adding new features. Is it possible to provide a nice list of current and expected features on the first post?

  18. Dungeon Loot Chests in TFC

    It had recently become a major issue of contention in my TerraFirmaPunk mod pack that all of the Dungeon Loot Chests that spawn in the Ruins and Dungeons are VANILLA chests. As thus they completely ignore ALL of the TFC chests rules and should be a BANNED item. I have tried several mods to prevent these chests from being picked up, or placed in the world, but most either ignore the chests for some reason or just do not work as expected. So I am at a loss for what to do about this issue. I am very happy about the all the awesome work everyone in this forum has done to convert Vanilla water, and machines that use water, into TFC water Is it at all possible to convert Dungeon Loot Chests into TFC chests, or somehow force minecraft to recognize TFC chests as valid Dungeon Loot Chests. I would really need the fix to work with RougeLike Dungeons andAtomicStryker's Ruins mod since these are the mods I am currently using to generate random Dungeon Loot chests in my pack.   19. With the current version "TFC-Tweaks-1.7.10-0.4.0.17" vanilla ice melts into vanilla water and crop fields are not hydrated by it. I am not certain if this is a bad thing or not. The Twilight Forest Ice Bombs actually turn flowing TFC water into solid ice blocks, and if they were to turn back into source blocks they players could eventually create new source blocks in places that they normal would not be able to. For now I am currently removing the Ice Bombs from mobs drops so no new bombs can be obtained. The bombs are not the only thing that is turning TFC water into vanilla ice, there are several winter mobs that have the same effect.
  20. In my pack there are Ice Bombs from the Twilight Forest, and the Yeti Boss, that can turn TFC ice into Vanilla Ice blocks. When this ice melts or is broken it turns in to Vanilla water sources. With the water unification are these source blocks also treaded as Fresh Water by TFC? For example can you hydrate crops with vanilla water source blocks or fill wooden buckets? I will also be testing these questions later this evening.
  21. That is kind of what I was thinking, but never tested it with vanilla minecraft. I really get the impression that Steamcraft2 is not developed very well, or is still mostly unfinished.

  23. Are you still working on this mod? The Fresh Water Bucket no longer seems to work with Flaxbeard's boiler anymore I have tested the mods by themselves so its not a conflict issue as far as I can tell.
  24. Sorry about the late reply, got wrapped up in other issues last week.
