I think the Community here is nicer than it actually had to be. We try to help everyone who has problems with the mod, even if they are asking the same question day for day. Of course - in this cases we don't repeat the said word for word - but we're always solicitous that problems are getting solved AND to teach the people to use the Search-Function and read the install-instructions first... I personally do not care if Rook de facto is a troll OR an asshole - or whatsoever - that doesn't matter. Fact is, he ACTED this way - and this is, how he had been treated! If he really is so intelligent, the way he did, then he should have been aware of what responses he produces this way. If you don't agree with my/our judgment it's okay - but make sure, that you have read also all the other threads/post he made in the short time, he was active in this board. That was not the way someone should oppose other people - at least not, if he search for their help - In short; he has shown very bad manners! And if his parents have not been effective - some other people have to. It's simple: What goes around, comes around!

If there are crashlogs of a previous minecraft installment - it is NOT a clean install! del your complete /.minecraft directory and let the launcher load the files from Mojang! If you have kept some of the files, there a probable also fragment of your previous forge-version. It's way harder to guide you somewhere, when there also are potential sources of error from other stuff that happen before TFC! To make your life easier - get yourself 'MultiMC' as alternate launcher for MC - installing mods is way easier (also updating, because it don't even change your original minecraft.jar with Forge & Co.) and you can look into a useful 'log' in realtime while playing - errors can be located way easier this way!

Oh please - be sure that you're installing TFC on a fresh Minecraft Setup! There are more than enough ways to scrap a TFC-Setup - when you use it on a already modded minecraft. New minecraft.jar / server.jar -> the proper Forge-Version (no, it's not build .471) -> PlayerAPI für MC 1.4.6 -> TFC b75 There's nothing more to do...

Player API goes directly in the minecraft/server.jar after installing Forge!

You have installed Forge AFTER you have installed your Optifine? So, please go back to Start and don't take 200 Bucks! Version of PlayerAPI makes no difference - have used TFC b75 with 1.1, 1.2 and 1.3 successful... Installing TFC is really simple - and the install-instructions says absolute clearly: So, why you're saying, that there are no hints on what MC- & Forge-Version TFC is built on? Oh yeah - and it's also TFCs fault, that you are sitting there 10 minutes - picking your nose - instead of have a look for the crash-log? Also if you are not able to read it - you could post it here, so we (we all, that were able to install the mod - most of us without greater problems...) can say to you, what you've done wrong... But NO! You prefer to get upset for some reason, that you have probably (I would bet on) done wrong just by ignoring some instruction. Is Advanced HUD incompatible with TFC?

You can simply google for 'minecraft.jar 1.4.6'? To be honest - I've never heard about real 'performance problems' caused bei MultiMC - technically there is not much difference to vanilla, after you've started an instance. But I can think one some reasons, that can cause such behavior - one possibility is, if you run MultiMC from a place on your harddisk that is protected or you don't have the full admin-rights. There are also other launcher - like 'Magic Launcher' for example - used this for a while - is also a good piece of software. Or, you simply make different 'Instances' by yourself and if you want to change it frequently you can write a .bat-file that swaps your different MC directories.

Google for 'MultiMC' - Your new Gamelauncher for your Minecraft! There you can made several 'instances' for your Minecraft - all in different versions or mod-setups - easy to downgrade, integrated DL-Function for Forge, integrated function for updating your LWJGL, and some other neat functions!

Yeah, sounds annoying. So what's your log saying - have you ever tried to use a alternate launcher and check it's log? So you can see issues even, if they not generating an official crash-log.
