      ATTENTION Forum Database Breach   03/04/2019

There has been a breach of our database. Please make sure you change your password (use a password manager, like Lastpass).
If you used this password anywhere else, change that too! The passwords themselves are stored hashed, but may old accounts still had old, insecure (by today's standards) hashes from back when they where created. This means they can be "cracked" more easily. Other leaked information includes: email, IP, account name.
I'm trying my best to find out more and keep everyone up to date. Discord (http://invite.gg/TerraFirmaCraft) is the best option for up to date news and questions. I'm sorry for this, but the damage has been done. All I can do is try to make sure it doesn't happen again.

  1. simple chest suggestion

Have you ever seen a standard metal ingot before? It takes both hands to hold them. What the fuck kind of dwarven gearworks lock are you putting on that thing, that it requires an entire ingot's worth of solid fucking steel?
  2. Bloomery Expansion

Hey You're new here, and from your style of writing probably very young - I will therefore go easy on you. This is a one-time courtesy, don't expect it again. Both Bioxx and Dunk have stated no NPCs ever. This is their final word, and you will not convince them otherwise. If you had used the easy-to-use search bar on the top-right of the forum here, you would have found this out rather quickly. Also, your idea for bloomery 'moulds' is a bit mal-formed. What do they do? Are they used to craft something? What's the point of it? And whatever the answers to those questions are, is there an easier way to implement that than what you suggested? Now, we don't expect you to pop onto the forum here with a well-thought out and useful idea sprung fully-formed into your noggin. We do, however, expect some basic niceties such as fully explaining what you're talking about, and using as close to proper grammar as you can manage. Good formatting is also a plus. If you want to see what an excellent suggestion looks like, look up any thread started by the user 'Jed' - the guy is an example for all to follow when it comes to suggestion posts. However, irresponsible or poorly thought out posts (basically being lazy or a douche about it) will, in the future, be met with harsh corrections, deep ridicule, and probably a lot of bad dick jokes. Double posts are frowned upon. Starting a new thread for a topic that already exists is punishable by fine. And if you necromance a dead old thread back to page one by posting drivel like "OH GUIZ I FOUND THIS COOL SUGGESTION! I LIEK EET! " well... "And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who attempt to poison and destroy my brothers. And you will know my name is the Lord when I lay my vengeance upon you!" -Jules, 19:40 My title isn't some cute thing I made up and put there to look cool. I've never edited that line myself.
  3. simple chest suggestion

and... what part of a chest uses an entire ingot's worth of steel, exactly?
  4. Armor (durability/repairing)

...*blink*... ...Did I just... get lectured by a member with just 40 posts...? I mean, you aren't wrong by any stretch, but- hmm.
  5. More In-Depth Smithing

Already been suggested and shot down by far more experienced forum members
  6. Ice carving

Eh... ...Pretty cool, but I'd say it'd probly be on Dunk's list of priorities just under 'code in funny hats for the zombies'
  7. An idea for more dangerous cave-ins

Ups to this idea. I think that re-appropriating anvil damage to cavein rocks is fantastic, and I'd say that wearing a metal helmet should probably reduce damage taken by 10%. Not much, but possibly enough to save your life in a not-too-serious incident
  8. Wool Clothes! / discussion about warmth.

I've actually discussed this with dunk on Skype. I forget if I was recording or not. Feature is confirmed.
  9. Armor (durability/repairing)

sigh does no one use the search bar?
  10. Clay overhaul: Ceramics, molds, and more! Warning: Long post

    1) Double posts can contain different content - they are still double posts. Don't do them. If you double post because you are using an inferior browser, that makes you unfortunate. If you double post to prove a point about how it's 'okay', that makes you a douche. Lrn2ForumEtiquette 2) Loving this thread hardcore. The ideas, the formatting... with a little more content, OP could be almost Jed-tier. Now to brass tacks - crafting recipes, in their 5x5 grid plan-style area: Urn: - x - x - x - - - x x - - - x x - - - x - x x x - Bowl: - - - - - x - - - x - x x x - - - - - - - - - - - Pot: Clay pot: x - - - x - x - x - - x - x - - x x x - - - - - - Brick: - - - - - x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x - - - - - Casting boat: - - - - - x x x x x x - - - x x x x x x - - - - - This item is then crafted with the appropriate anvil plan to create a [item here] cast. Sculpting block: Made by putting a clay block into the potting wheel without a plan and clicking any 3 buttons. When placed in-world, it turns into cubits like chiseled stone, which can be removed by right-clicking with a bare hand (yielding a small clay lump) or added onto by right clicking with a small clay lump. 2 full 64 stacks of small clay lumps can be placed on a potting wheel with no plan and turned into a clay item (the ones that drop when you break the block). The cubit clay sculpture can be picked up instantly with a bare hand and retains its cubit data as an item. After being glazed and fired, the finished ceramic piece is placed as normal, and retains its previous shape.
  11. Regenerating rocks (like tall grass and tree sapplings)

Let's face it dude - even small amounts of tectonic and/or atmospheric activity can expose new stone in loose earth slowly over time, the code is already there in the game for you to re-appropriate, and this will solve a significant issue in game balance. An hour or so popping this into generation won't disrupt you much
  12. My Build 77 Wishlist

Miss the previous post that suggested putting the damage values in the 1000's?
  13. Underground Gas Pockets

Invisible. The word invisable - which I can only assume rhymes with 'table' - does not exist outside of some fictitious Monty Python song And many times, typos and rhymes, are indistiquish-able!
  14. Quote of the week right here. That sounds awesome and I fully back you... except... ...isn't this just gravel then?
  15. Terrafirmacraft on Technic Launcher

Technic is shit FTB all day erry day FTB, by the way, is already confirmed to be getting a TFC modpack
  16. My Build 77 Wishlist

...oh. Wouldn't know, haven't played TFC since 2 builds before they were added, and the original suggestion thread (when I was part of it anyway) suggested 10x10x10. so 8x8x8 then (2x64)+(2x48)+(2x36)=296 296/2=148 148 damage for smoothing a block
  17. My Build 77 Wishlist

I concur since there are 1000 cubits per block, 1 cubit should take 1 durability. slabbing should take 500, stairs should take 250, and smoothing... let's assume that smoothing reduces every cubit exposed to the surface by one half. Determining that number is: 2 sides at 100 cubits each (10x10): 200 2 sides at 80 cubits each (10 x 8, because 2 edges of the sides are already counted towards the first set): 360 2 sides at 64 cubits each (8x8, because all edges are already in use by other sides): 488 divided by half - 244 durability damage to smooth out a block
  18. Brewing and beverages

In my sig it's not TFC tho, that's coming later Right now it's just FTB tech mods Episode 25 is set to be recorded this week, finally building ourselves a proper house lol (we've been sleeping in our offices)
  19. Brewing and beverages

I wanna make a liquor cellar in TFC now, like the tavern and meadery in our LP I will discuss this with you next time we record
  20. What are people's thoughts on enchanting?

because there haven't already been 50 threads for this...
  21. Time Settings

    ...huh. Neat.
  22. Food Spoilage - A Comprehensive Summary

I fail to see the relevance there
  23. Combining Small Ores (& Nuggets) into Standard Ones

Since abuses are likely to be patched out, assume they're doing as they ought
  24. Time Settings

...you guys do know you can set this shit yourself, right? I swear...
