If you don't find cassiterite, don't waste your time looking if you already found bismuthinite and sphalerite. Then prepare the alloy Bismuth bronze.

Since we are talking about other animals now, I have not found cows in my world and ive been all over the place. Are cows even in the game?

If you have Sphalerite and Bismuthinite, or Silver and Gold, you can make Bismuth Bronze or Black Bronze.

Oh snap! I could make Bismuth bronze. Cheers mate! 

Maybe it is just my generated world, but I cannot for the life of me find cassiterite (tin) to proceed to making bronze and hence a bronze bloomery block. I haven't given up the search yet but it is bordering on annoyance...

If you read this wiki page, you will find out that you can make tools from lower tier metals (copper, bronze...) using the kiln. You need to find bunches of clay and hay (stone knife to grass) first tho.

You can get copper from tetrahedrite or native copper nuggets 

I don't really have any interest in replacing TFC's stone with my own.  I just wanted to show Dunkleosteus that I was right and he was wrong.

Mate, don't hold a grudge. You show some great work, some people like it, others don't. No big deal. I urge you to share it, if you can make it work in TFC.

I also had boats breaking/disappearing with TFC 77.11 for no reason (like in the middle of the ocean). Near the coast i had the teleporting thing happen too when disembarking. I log out immediately and log back in to reset the boat or my position before accidents happen.

Good job mate. Can your mod, if it's one, replace existing implementations?

By the way, can garnierite be found in layer 1  of gabbro (the surface layer) now? This would be technically correct because garnierite is a product of lateritic weathering of ultramafic rocks. I remember that previously it was only layers 2 and 3 (and most prominently at the bottom of layer 2) in gabbro. If there were any changes to the distribution of garnierite, I would like to know. In my old game finding this stuff really was the bane of grinding. 

The footnote is technically correct usage, but I admit I overlooked it the first time at a quick glance. I spend a good hour hitting dacite rocks at the surface not finding cassiterite. Then i went back to have a look if i missed something (which i did).

Maybe adding another line after "...to produce unshaped metal" above the table may add clarification. Such as: "Please note, some ores like cassiterite may be present in certain rock types but only at greater depth (layers 2 and 3)." 

Tetrahedrite is everywhere and likely your first source of copper. Next you need tin from cassiterite to make Bronze... Just realised from a footnote in the tables that cassiterite is only at the surface in Granite rock. D'oh! Deep underground in igneous rocks too but much less accessible or easy to find. 

I just wondered, with the current changes, who would still lure animals over distances +8000 blocks and across oceans to their base depending on where you spawned... Not that i'm asking for changes but husbandry has become quite unappealing.

Suggestions above sound interesting, but I think realistically one should ask for simple changes. It might take years before the above are implemented.

My first house is a barn about 20 blocks long and 12 blocks wide. Before the first night I had only enough time to build walls 3 blocks high. The walls mostly consist of clay blocks with wood pillars in between. Later i added a sloped roof made of wood (not planks because i didn't have a saw yet). For decoration, I added straw blocks around the sides of the house.

I had this happening when I updated to the most recent Forge version and Optifine version. I went back to the recommended Forge version and older Optifine version (standard) to fix the issue.

Can't wait for this fix to be applied Bringing over new female sheep from distances of 1000+ blocks or more is very time consuming.

I too was confused why copper in a ceramic ingot mold could not be remelted in a kiln. Should make the rule consistent.

Ive seen this weird floating snow you can stand on too, and missing textures where plants grow in the snow. I'm using the recommended forge version.

I have seen plenty of sheep and pigs in my mountainous and swampy area (z = 11,000). Found chickens in jungles near the equator (z = 3000) but no cows anywhere (so far). Because there is a bug with sheep breeding, im waiting for the next update 77.12. For some reason baby sheep spawn inside the mother sheep and all die of suffocation. I can't risk losing my last pregnant female sheep lol,.
