      ATTENTION Forum Database Breach   03/04/2019

There has been a breach of our database. Please make sure you change your password (use a password manager, like Lastpass).
If you used this password anywhere else, change that too! The passwords themselves are stored hashed, but may old accounts still had old, insecure (by today's standards) hashes from back when they where created. This means they can be "cracked" more easily. Other leaked information includes: email, IP, account name.
I'm trying my best to find out more and keep everyone up to date. Discord ( is the best option for up to date news and questions. I'm sorry for this, but the damage has been done. All I can do is try to make sure it doesn't happen again.

  2. C̶o̶t̶t̶o̶n̶ Flax (thanks hector)

Linen does seem better for everything I suggested upon me actually reading about it. So yes screw cotton, flax is the way to go. It is also doesn't stick to you when it's wet which is important for evaporative cooling because if it's stuck to your skin and it evaporates the air that is now cooler is behind you because you're walking away, as apposed to linen which is not sticky when wet (TIL) which cools a layer of air not there with cotton textiles between you and your clothing, a layer of air you take with you. So yes knowing the science behind evaporative cooling I should have done more research into textiles because I own a cotton shirt and it sticks to me when it's wet (duhr).
  3. Alternate clothing material to wool, decreases the amount you perspire and shields you from the sun. Would be needed to travel through deserts safely and for doing work in the summer near the equator. Flax fiber would also be used to make canvas, which would replace the sugary paper we have now.
  4. Not sure what canoes have to do with body temperature, but I agree with you on the clothing, without it the b.t. will just mean no going here or there ever or else you'll die.
  5. I have the suspicion that the loom (being kind of unnecessary atm) will have more uses in the future to make different types of clothing for different extremes, cotton garb to keep the sun off of you and your perspiration in check (traps sweat for longer than if it were to just drip off of you) woolen garb to survive the winters further north. A lot of potential that I hope is recognized in the build body temperature is implemented. I should really elaborate more on this in my own post but these are just my thoughts (So no, totally justifiable excitement!).
  6. [Solved] Food storage in barrel with liquid

Fairly sure you first need to brine the food, then place it in a vinegar barrel. Brine to my knowledge is 90% saltwater 10% vinegar.
  7. Shields a defensive weapon

I'm with Vaelkyri, mounting the shield on the player, say when its in that back slot, sounds like the best way to go. However I think to keep the shield from being too op it should only block damage in two areas, head+torso or torso+legs (maybe make it toggleable).
  8. sure why I made this just kind of felt like building for once.
  9. My Home (inspired by Vaelkyri's guide)

Very pretty subterranean shelter you have there!
  10. 1001 Small Suggestions: Community Brainstorming~!

What about slings? Those were neolithic weapons made from some rope that flung stones really far.
  11. [0.79.15] Rhodance's "HugBox" Server [Closing May 22]

IGN: FelixFB Age: 18 Why this server?: single player lonely, looks like one of the best servers to try (no pvp, hugbox) 2 sentence description of yourself/interests: I am rather mild mannered, I enjoy smithing and organization, but really I just like playing TFC.
  12. Never mind, journey map seems to mess with my performance. (not sure if i can delete post)
  13. 1001 Small Suggestions: Community Brainstorming~!

Re-implement Whiskey, Rye Whiskey, Sake, Vodka, Beer, and Cider and allocate specific buffs to each soporific. These are just my thoughts on the possible allocations: Sake-Water Breathing, Vodka-Resist Frost (for the future temperature mechanic), Whiskey-Resist Fire, Rye Whiskey-Strength, Cider-Jump Boost, Beer-Resistance, Rum-Speed. Those just felt the most fitting to me.
