      ATTENTION Forum Database Breach   03/04/2019

There has been a breach of our database. Please make sure you change your password (use a password manager, like Lastpass).
If you used this password anywhere else, change that too! The passwords themselves are stored hashed, but may old accounts still had old, insecure (by today's standards) hashes from back when they where created. This means they can be "cracked" more easily. Other leaked information includes: email, IP, account name.
I'm trying my best to find out more and keep everyone up to date. Discord (http://invite.gg/TerraFirmaCraft) is the best option for up to date news and questions. I'm sorry for this, but the damage has been done. All I can do is try to make sure it doesn't happen again.

Allow Glass Bottles to stack

19 posts in this topic

Suggestion: Allow glass bottles to stack. Stack size 8?

I love using them for water but it's difficult to allocate more than one inventory space for them.

From believability perspective, items that don't stack are, for example, anvils and tools. So, filled glass bottle seems to be about the size of a shovel. And Steve drinks it on one sip.

Not to mention the fact that bottle changes its volume when being filled.

Huh? But it's made of glass...How does that even work? Glass bottles stay a consistent volume, regardless of the amount of liquid inside it.

How are you telling the size of this? The only real size indicator (other than texture size, but that makes no sense, as then anvils are the same size as feathers...) is the in-game size value. And, I haven't tested this, but there is no way a glass water bottle is size Large.

Glass bottles don't have TFC volume configuration. But if we were to approximate this, empty bottles stack to 64, which makes them Size.Tiny, while filled bottles stack to 1, which is Size.Huge.

Ahh...well...the *size* of the bottle is really somewhere around Tiny or Small to be believable. :P

So does cooked porkchops stacking to 64 if you look at it like that :P I think glass bottles should stack, but to a smaller number like the op said, 8 or 16

I think flasks and wineskins will be added eventually, those can potentially solve the problem without changes.

But for now I'm all for the stacking idea (although it might look like I'm not taking into account my precous posts).

Along with this, we should make food stack to about 4. I should have to build a food storage chest, not have it take up 2 slots in another chest.

No, if it stacks - only to an amount of 6!

And make a new texture/sprite for the item with an Heineken-label. ;)

An idea I like on this is making a hook of metal or stone (metal just serves aesthetics) and can hold up meat. It looks nice, and allows me to have a full on slaughterhouse, meat hanging everywhere on the walls.
