I actually really like this idea, I prefer an actually reason why your item is better than normal instead of, "I added a touch of magic, so it mines faster." Perhaps we can get work station blocks or a workshop to work on improving items like a grindstone for sharpenng swords axes shovels and hoes and putting a better point on your pick. A woodworking bench for making better or reinforced handles. Not sure if items would need a cost of upgrade like more metal or something, or if time spent on it would be sufficient. I would like to see you expand on your idea more and really get into some detail. +1 all day.

There was a thread about this somewhere in regards to horses as the animal, saddlebags and all that stuff that you might find interesting or add this to. Didn't find the link but yeah pack animals would be nice because making enough rail to travel enough distance to be worth the effort and material is pretty end game stuff. Agreeing with Death here, he is adding it all in even without a current use so he can just add in the use later on without massive changed to the world gen so you can run through several updates without having to reset your map every time you play. It all has a purpose even if we don't know it yet so just let him do his thing.

So I was making some chiseled designs(Archways and pillars) on my smp house that were pretty high off the ground and had the idea. We need some kind of easy to assemble/tear down scaffolding. Maybe something like the tekkit scaffolds. They cost sticks and wood to build The outside of the block acted like a ladder so you could climb up them. They hung out 4 blocks or something like that over air before you had to make another stack under them. If you right click the bottom one it would add another one to the top so you could build them higher without that laggy jump place move. They were awesome for making big builds and working on construction projects. They also looked pretty awesome around a building while you were working on them, it looked like a real construction site. So yeah, scaffolds please. Edit - Viola! found a picture

This happened to me once when I forgot to install the TFC resource file. Maybe you forgot it or need to install it again. Hope that helps any.

Finished up my house in the oddworld server today. The chisel is amazing for building, hopefully we get something that does it to wood soon. Credit to Azdoine for the awesome pillar design.

I like this idea for custom blocks that chiseling can't make Like Estaban is talking about. Maybe make it another function and add it to the list you go through like stairs, slabs, smoothing, custom.

Exactly, not a permanent structure but something enough to take you up, work on something then take it down.

Didn't remember which mod they're from, thank for the info. I'm not saying an exact copy just showcasing his because they are perfect.

if you kill enough zombies for an iron ingot and find gravel for flint, does redstone work? Never tried it but you can turn cinnabar into redstone for torches etc.

Just noticed that the far right brick is one shave too thick, twitch lol. Also, that aqarium needs a squid floundering around in it.

Working on making a rope bridge design, I can't make the fences look right really. If anyone has any idea's to improve it or make it look better I'm all ears. Edit - Tried chiseling out some handrail type stuff and totally failed so fence is the best I've got for now.

I like the new vein spawning, I like that you look really hard for one vein, mark the location, possibly build a minecart track to it and have a mine instead of having to go search and come back with a few stacks of ore and go search again.

I'm 100% for any kind of traps really, be it spike pits with false covers, bear traps or ewok swinging logs of doom. If animals get changed to be wilder and you can't just walk up and club them to death while the rest pay no attention they would be great for hunting. A way of keeping those damn creepers away from my front door is a plus too. There is a traps mod somewhere that looked cool, if I find a link or something I'll edit it in. +1

I've read about 10 different posts about leather working with all these ideas about knives to work leather, leather strips, slingshots, etc. I'm not trying to be a moderator, It's his first post and I was stating that these idea's have been said before, sorry if I came off like a dick but it's the truth. There are mods and plugins like shelfs and showcase. Pretty sure it could be accomplished. I like the idea of visible item storage so I can store my important stuff like armor/tools that I need to grab in a hurry.

You could also spend five minutes and find every one of these suggestions on the forum already
