      ATTENTION Forum Database Breach   03/04/2019

      There has been a breach of our database. Please make sure you change your password (use a password manager, like Lastpass).
      If you used this password anywhere else, change that too! The passwords themselves are stored hashed, but may old accounts still had old, insecure (by today's standards) hashes from back when they where created. This means they can be "cracked" more easily. Other leaked information includes: email, IP, account name.
      I'm trying my best to find out more and keep everyone up to date. Discord (http://invite.gg/TerraFirmaCraft) is the best option for up to date news and questions. I'm sorry for this, but the damage has been done. All I can do is try to make sure it doesn't happen again.

  3. You need to list the specifics of your computer hardware in order for any of us to give you an informed opinion. You can't just throw in a new graphics card in a 14 years old computer. There are limitations. EDIT: Also I would say Minecraft can be GPU limited if all you do is increase the render resolution and your frame rate plummets.

    Only Sildur's vibrant shaders LITE will improve your FPS significantly by disabling shader effects such as bloom and DOF, both i dislike anyway. I have not seen any other shader config that gives more FPS. I do not count Sildur's Basic shaders because they are quite ugly tbh.

    Stones and grass indeed replace trees where they spawn after trees. This could be an easy fix...
  6. I have seen this a long time. I figured it has to do with the block height limit (at 255) somehow. At the block height limit, the biomes do not exist. However, it's indeed level 253 that is much much warmer than levels 252 and 254. I didn't report this bug because it's not a big deal really.

    Thanks. And those 'beacons' are not beacons but Jack O' Lanterns (i.e. pumpkins), just retextured with the Summerfields texture pack to look less derpy.

  12. Remove snow accumulation limit

    Snow can only accumulate if temperature is below zero degrees C. Only mountains at very high latitudes may have peaks where it's permanently freezing. Snow blocks crafted from snow balls do not melt however. So you could just harvest some snow to decorate your mountain top. The other requests you make are not appropriate here and not even feasible.

    Thanks mate, any time is great even if you manage it only a month or later from now. It's not meant to be a personal request since there might be other players out there who appreciate more extreme winters, but nonetheless i would be hugely thankful. I dont know how it works and whether Bioxx has the ultimate authority for what goes in the mod and what does not, but any instructions to compile my own custom build would also be welcome.

    I don't have time for this, unfortunately. If someone is kind enough to do this for me (someone with familiarity of editing code on the github), then I would be grateful. But I don't see my request being a popular one, so... oh well.

Among others, these are my favourites of b79.8: Reduced Hardness of all Smooth Stone and Stone Brick BlocksCan now cut decay from items as long as there is a knife in your inventory by adding a single piece of food to the crafting grid. It will scan your inventory for a knife and damage it. This facilitates the altered process for the D key trim. It now uses this no-knife recipe. This should hopefully get rid of the knife dupe.You can now drink by right clicking any fresh water. Removed feet drinking.Rewrote Detailed Block Rendering. Performance should be a lot better. Also fixes odd lighting issues that have been around since forever. Should also fix the Detailed block crash that affects some people with too many detailed blocks in a chunk. Big thanks to Fuami for rewriting this!Tweaked fallingblock code to be provide more consistency. Caveins cannot be prevented by placing planks above your head Tweaked nutrition calculations once again. Fixed, water plants were not being generated in 1 block deep water. Also fixes the Cattail render problem.Fixed breaking animation for barrels & vessel with fluids in them.Metal trap doors are now a proper charcoal pit cover.Corrected temperatures. Temperature starts raising at 6:00, starts decreasing at 18:00

    The one above. I don't understand why a texture resource pack also reskins my player. Is that intended?

    I found the problem. I use a texture resource pack and therefore the heart icon does not show up. The resource packs I tested were PaintedCraft, Summerfields, Faithful... So... what can be done about this? I would like to continue to use a resourcepack.

  21. Adding a command to regenerate chunk(s)

    I would use MCEdit and delete the corrupted chunks. Then load the world in MC to regenerate new chunks.

    I haven't been able to see the heart icon so far. I deleted my old TFC config files and even tried a new world. Do you guys hold shift (sneak) to see the icon above the animal? Will test later tonight without other mods.
