      ATTENTION Forum Database Breach   03/04/2019

There has been a breach of our database. Please make sure you change your password (use a password manager, like Lastpass).
If you used this password anywhere else, change that too! The passwords themselves are stored hashed, but may old accounts still had old, insecure (by today's standards) hashes from back when they where created. This means they can be "cracked" more easily. Other leaked information includes: email, IP, account name.
I'm trying my best to find out more and keep everyone up to date. Discord (http://invite.gg/TerraFirmaCraft) is the best option for up to date news and questions. I'm sorry for this, but the damage has been done. All I can do is try to make sure it doesn't happen again.

PhysicsCraft Now Open Source

19 posts in this topic

I was afraid all the promise of physicscraft would go down the drain when the coder decided to retire it. My fears were thankfully unfounded, as of November the 1st, the physicscraft devs made it open-source. So many suggestions here require physics, maybe someone here should take a look at it?

I will, certainly.

I don't even know what that is... it's absolutely fucking scary.

Taking a look.

I almost closed my window until I saw physicscraft mentioned, I thought, maybe possibly it might be news about it being implemented, even if it isn't I hope some of the ideas can trickle out.

If parts of PhysicsCraft were to be implemented, TerraFirmaCraft would be vastly improved. Lest there be a huge issue of bugs, glitches, and lag.

From what I saw

ship building may became possible :)

That is isn't even close to what it can accomplish. For starters what about those falling trees and actual mechanical systems everyone was complaining about.

I would like to like this multiple times, something like this could absolutely be a game changer in many ways.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but if someone had the expertise, could they not merge this in with TFC without getting in trouble with the original creators?

With a lot of expertise, maybe, but when TFC comes out of beta it would be easier and maybe it could be implemented...

This would be an amazing addition as an API for future things such as Trees being felled and other things like that.

physics craft sounds amazing, trees actually falling would be EPIC (thinks of sequoia)... actual rafts/boats, awesome. i would also like to see a more dynamic cave in system, but i dont know how that would work. i vote YES! for physics in TFC!

'thinks of sequoia'

annnnd you killed it... the idea of that thing crashing down on my 29 hour's wasted mansion is just. D:(actually, thats where you sold me. If loggers have to worry about which way a tree falls, then all the metaskill comes into play)

I can see wars being won by planting a sequoia tree near the enemy camp, waiting for it to grow and then chopping it down. One less enemy camp.

and with sequoias now being a rare but possible sapling find, it allows wars to build before such a tactic is used. :)

kapok should take this route too... being possible to regrow, but not though human intervention.

while waging war trees have always been useful, for both sides. ramparts, walls, spears. ... etc. i would think that i would build my castle thinking of ways to defend it, like chopping down that sequoia forest next door before i get sieged by it!...

as a small side thing, i would like to see creeper explosions move blocks instead of simply destroying them, this seems quite possible with physics craft.
